40 things I’d like to do before I’m 40 years old. I’ve got 6 years and change.

- Own a German Shepherd.

- Relearn the piano.
- Be able to do 20 pull-ups.
- Visit the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial.
- Submit a book to a publisher.
- Get immunotherapy for my allergies.
- Be on clear mission in my workplace.
- Reread War and Peace.
- Revisit Scotland.
- Start a wine collection.
- Teach a cooking class.
Read the whole bible.- Wrangle a herd of animals from atop a horse.
- Go to Asia.
- See a UNC Basketball championship game in person.
- Organize all of my photos.
- Fly to and eat at a Michelin Four-Star Restaurant.
- Go snowshoeing.
- Take up yoga. Doing it 2ish days a week as of October 2012
- Learn Tai Chi. Once a week via DVD!
- Run a marathon. Honolulu Marathon in 2012
- Take my parents on vacation.
- Cook a goose. Thanksgiving 2012!
- Elope. Done for all intents and purposes.
- Host an ongoing Bible study. Hosted one every Monday for over 2 years.
- Learn to like apples. I’m marking this off. I tried for years. It’s not going to happen. Yuck!
- Perfect homemade English muffins. Now to post the recipe!
- Volunteer consistently for a non-profit. Salvation Army.
- Have professional head shots taken. Thanks, Amaris!
- Drink an expensive glass of Scotch. It was about $60. Couldn’t finish it. Yuck.
- Minimally understand investing. Remember: I said minimally.
- Send thank you notes to teachers who positively influenced me. I’ve done a few – still working on it.
- Start wearing a watch. Thanks to the Gentleman.
- Develop a morning workout habit. Developed and abandoned. I’m a night owl.
- Host Thanksgiving in my own home. Done several times.
- Establish a perennial garden. Established just a few months before I moved…but it’s still there!
- Keep a consistently updated blog. Going strong.
