Want a new Fabuless Wardrobe?!

Happy Monday, everyone!  I’m excited to have the lovely Taylor guest-posting today to kick off an awesome new site where you can buy and sell gently used clothes.  Y’all know I’m not a fan of shopping, so this is a great one-stop shop for me.  Can’t wait to check out all the great stuff at Fabuless Wardrobe.  Now, here’s Taylor to introduce the shop:

Hey y’all! I’m Taylor and I blog over at Pink Heels Pink Truck. First off…HUGE thanks to my friend, Sarah, for allowing me to share a project that I’ve been working on for the past 5 months!

I’m excited to be sharing with you all today a brand new dream that I’ve turned into reality (finally!!) Without further adieu…Meet Fabuless Wardrobe!!

FabulessWardrobeSnapshot1

An online consignment shoppe. But not any online consignment shoppe. This consignment shop concept is different than most. :)

At Fabuless Wardrobe, you purchase an ad spot for $1.00 per item. Each item is listed for 30 days for that $1.00. If your item sells, you will be forwarded the money (via paypal) without any additional fees (well, less paypal’s original fees). The only fee you will incur is the upfront ad spot purchase! All items ship for free, so you build your shipping into your listing price. :)

This site is basically a place to list your gently used items (even maternity!), no more than 2 years old (preferrably..it’ll only help you sell!). You might even have stuff you’ve never worn before or even still has tags on it. So why not put it up for sale and see if you can add some cash to your pocket! :)

There are a few items already for sale in the shoppe, so you must head over and check it out. And if you are ready to get to listing your own items, click on the Sell Tab to get started!! You’ll tell me how many items you want to list initially, and I’ll send over an invoice and then the link to where you can start uploading your stuff!

I would love for you to follow Fabuless Wardrobe’s social media channels so you never miss a new item added to the shoppe!!
Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest

Thanks again, Sarah, for allowing me to share my brand new dream-turned-reality!! :) And I hope to see you all selling your items soon!! What are you waiting for??? Get shopping/listing now!! :)

30 for 30 Remix: Days 1 and 2

Choosing 30 items that would cover 30 workday outfits was a bit of a challenge for me because half the time I work from my home office dressed  in pajamas casually and half the time I’m out at meetings in decidedly more formal business attire.  It also doesn’t help that my beloved North Carolina can’t decide what season we’re in (68 degrees outside on February 2!).  I focused on layers for the weather and neutral bases for business-wear so hopefully I’ve covered my bases.  Here are my first two outfits

Day 1: Strategy meeting in DC.  I combined  items 8, 23, 24 and 26 for this outfit.  Layers for uncertain weather and my favorite black heels for running through the airport!  I added a scarf tied infinity style.

Day 2:  Day in the office (read: 77 conference calls).  Best to be comfortable and since it’s so warm here today, I stopped at just one layer on top.  This combines items 9, 22 and 28 with  my rice bead necklace (thanks in-laws!) and my charm bracelet (thanks Dad!).

I promise I’ll get better pictures from now on!

Remix!

For the next month I’m participating in the 30 for 30 Remix hosted by my blog friends Vanessa  and Kara.  This fashion challenge goes like this:  Pick 30 items from your closet and for the next 30 days remix them into different outfits.  I can add in accessories like jewelery, scarves and belts that don’t count towards my 30 items to keep things interesting.

The challenge actually started yesterday, but I was running from hotel to meeting to airplane and didn’t have time to actually get my outfit posted.  That post is coming soon (along with today’s outfit), but for now check out the 30 items I chose to remix!

1)Jacket-Brooks Brothers; 2) Wrap Dress – Ann Taylor; 3)Tee – Old Navy; 4)Cardigan -Velvet 5)Turtleneck – Target; 6)Tunic Sweater – Local Boutique; 7) Shirt – Land’s End; 8)Sweater – Ann Taylor; 9) Top – Old Navy; 10) Cardigan – Free People; 11)Cardigan (Target)

30?

You’re probably wondering where number 30 is.  Me too!  I just couldn’t decide on a 30th item, so I’m going to leave this as a wild card.  I am certain that at least once during the 30 days, I’m going to be at a loss for what to wear and at that point, I’ll add in number 30.  So excited to start mixing and matching!
